(Just writing to let you all know that the magical stasis has been lifted and Draco is awake on his own, now. But Madam P has given strict instruction that he's not do much of anything involving his brain for the time being, including using his wand and even a quill, or even reading, for that matter. I told him I could write for him, the way that Colin used to for Mr Longbottom, so I just wanted you all to know that. And if you write him any private messages I'll see those, too, just until it's safe for him to read on his own again.)

Thank you, Miss Fawcett, for communicating the situation. Mr Malfoy is, indeed, facing a period of reduced cognitive stimulation.

I expect he will find it challenging to remain idle, and I would urge you all to help him by understanding that any messages you send may not be communicated to him for some time (apart from a reassurance that we all wish him a full recovery, undelayed by any set-backs).

I'm afraid this means no visits for several days yet.

(I think this is how the private messages work, or at least it's what worked for Colin and Mr Longbottom. Anyways. Sarah, could you pass this along to Draco? I'm so very glad you're helping him.)

I had tea with Aunt Narcissa this afternoon. And I talked to her at the St Mungo's Ball, where she made a brief appearance.

There really isn't much to say. She was absolutely gorgeous at the ball, and at tea she was quite composed. It was good to see her in public like that, and good to know that she could have guests over if she wanted, because that seemed like it wasn't a given when we talked last. We didn't talk about anything of substance, and she didn't talk about Lucius at all.

I'm so glad you're doing better. I'll be sure to visit before we have to go back to Hogwarts again. If visiting is allowed by Madame P, of course. And thank goodness she was here.

D'you know that Lucius grabbed a wand from someone and blasted the wall right off of you? Collapsed in a heap after, and it's utterly amazing he had the strength for it, but knowing how much he loves you, I'm not surprised in the least.

(Certainly I'll pass it along, though the ward's closed to visitors this late, so I won't be able to show it to him until morning. Right now Madam Pomfrey has allowed very few visits at all, but she's permitted me to come in more often than the others. But even so, she's laid out very firm rules on how he's to be interacted with. Draco doesn't remember much of the trip to Azkaban at all. Most of that whole evening is gone for him, actually. I don't know if it would be good for him if I talked to him about his parents. Avoiding "overwrought or exciting conversations" is one of the very firm rules.)
